“Old Life Can Go” is more than a song.
It describes the ups and downs everyone experiences during his life. Dexter Curtin and Timo Manson were sitting in the studio working on new sounds and ideas, when the accident happened. Talking about life and the latest happenings all around the world Timo spilled his coffee on the microphone, which was switched on and preseted with a vocoder. The Disaster was perfect and both tried to get master of the situation. At the same time Dexter turned on the record button by mistake and the whole chaos was recorded more than 10 times one upon the other.
“Sounds nice” the two discoverd after hearing the recording. So they decided to create a song with these scary vocals and worked on the track until the first version of “Old Life Can Go” was ready. Being convinced of their result they took part in a producer competition of Samsung DJYOURLIFE. Already the first reaction of the jury let them know, that the track is as good as they thought. And indeed the track was voted on top. So Samsung released it on its DJYOURLIFE-Compilation in Feburary 2010. Inebriated by success Dexter and Timo invited sorted producers and artists all around the world to make a remix of this track in order to release a remix-compilation. The result of this efforts you can see on our current release.

The size of damage in Haiti is still serious, after the quake the whole electricity supply and the communication broke down. The label decksharks agreed to make a Compilation “Artists for Haiti “ and donate the complete sales revenue for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
